ABOUT VESEY’S EQUIPMENT:

• Mechanic – Full-Time
• Location: Veseys Equipment, PEI
• Wage: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour
• Expected Hours: 30–40 per week/flexible

Signing Bonus: $2,000 for Red Seal Qualification/Certificate

• $1,000 upon signing
• $1,000 after 6 months of continuous service

Position Overview: We seek an experienced and qualified Mechanic to join our growing team. This role involves diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing various equipment. The ideal candidate will bring strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, a team-focused attitude, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
• Perform routine maintenance and equipment repairs
• Use specialized tools, power tools, and hand tools effectively
• Follow technical manuals and standard repair procedures
• Complete, accurate records of work performed, including parts and labour
• Collaborate with sales and parts departments as needed
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Guide junior mechanics or apprentices when required

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a mechanic or in a similar role
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
• Proficient in the use of shop tools and diagnostic equipment
• Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• A commitment to health and safety standards
• Red Seal Certification is considered a strong asset

• 8-hour shifts
