Maintenance Technician

Job Description:

APHL Inc is based in Charlottetown and provides Enterprise Management to non-profit housing, CMHC-managed residential properties, senior housing, and housing cooperatives.

We have an opportunity available on our team for a Temporary Full-Time Repairs & Maintenance Technician to cover Kings County, PEI.

Starting wage is $25/hour and normal hours are 8:30-4:30, Monday to Friday.

The successful person-candidate:

• Must have a valid driver’s license, a clean drivers abstract and access to a reliable vehicle at all times,
• Must have their own tools, has excellent attention to detail, and be able to do repetitive work tasks,
• Must have proven experience or skills pertaining to residential repairs, painting, and carpentry,
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs on a as needed basis,
• Must be well organized on the job, great with people, and able to switch from job to job as your daily work flow changes.
• Must have experience with smartphone technology, and able to work with a team and also to work alone.

As APHL works with a segment of the population that is classified as vulnerable, we will require that all potential candidates will have to submit a “clean” criminal background check, prior to employment being offered.

Monthly Mileage Allowance for use of your vehicle.
Monthly Cell Phone Allowance or a company cell phone will be provided.
If work continues to grow, this job could become a permanent position, with full-company benefits.
