LOCATION: Carstar Charlottetown, Charlottetown, PEI

HOURS: Full time, Permanent. Mon – Fri, 40 hours per week.

WAGES: $40,000 – $60,000 salary per year + commissions & benefitsย  (negotiable based on experience)

ROLE IDENTITY

As a Collision Damage Appraiser, you’ll play a key role in guiding a vehicle from initial damage assessment through the repair process. You’ll help customers understand what needs to be repaired, prepare accurate estimates, work with insurance partners, and collaborate with the production team to keep repairs moving smoothly.

You are organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing technical information with customer service. You enjoy problem-solving, communicating with different people, and keeping multiple priorities moving in a fast-paced environment.

You take pride in getting the details right and understand that a collision can be stressful for a customer. You have the patience and professionalism to explain the repair process clearly, build trust, and keep customers informed throughout their experience.

Whether you have previous appraisal experience or are looking to build your career in collision repair, you bring initiative, reliability, and a willingness to learn. Training will be provided to the right candidate.

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • Prioritize a positive, supportive customer experience, ensuring clients feel informed and confident throughout their time with us.
  • Prepare and submit accurate estimates, including all necessary supplement documentation.
  • Collaborate with the production team and insurance partners to ensure process efficiency.
  • Maintain organized repair files to ensure accuracy.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail
  • Comfortable using computers and learning new systems
  • Reliable, professional, and able to multitask
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop new skills
  • Previous automotive or collision experience is an asset, but not required
  • Valid Canadian driver’s license required
