Job Description:

Radiant Medical Systems is a new outpatient diagnostic imaging clinic opening September 2026 at 179 John Yeo Drive, Charlottetown – bringing MRI, ultrasound and fluoroscopy to Islanders and contributing to reducing imaging wait times on PEI.

We are hiring a Registered Nurse to be the clinical backbone of our MRI service. This is a rare outpatient nursing role: predictable daytime hours, real clinical ownership, and a ground-floor seat in a brand-new clinic. Full-time, part-time and temporary arrangements will all be considered.

What you’ll do:

• Assess and support patients undergoing contrast-enhanced MRI.
• Establish peripheral IV access; administer contrast and medications per directives and scope.
• Screen histories, allergies and prior contrast reactions; flag concerns to the clinical team.
• Recognize and respond to contrast reactions and medical emergencies; maintain emergency readiness.
• Lead infection prevention, quality improvement, policy development and staff education.
• Contribute across clinic operations during quieter clinical periods – clinical duties always take priority.

What you bring:

• Registration (or eligibility before start) with the PEI College of Nursing and Midwifery, in good standing.
• Current ACLS – or commitment to obtain ACLS before start date.
• Peripheral IV insertion competency.
• Strong assessment skills, independent judgment, calm under pressure.
• Assets: imaging/MRI/CT experience, contrast-enhanced imaging, emergency or outpatient nursing, medical directives experience, RIS/PACS/EMR familiarity.

Full training on MRI safety, contrast procedures and clinic systems provided.
