Job Description:

Junior Achievement (JA) is the largest and fastest-growing not-for-profit economic education organization. Founded in 1916, JA now reaches over 10 million students annually, in over 100 different countries. JA provides programs in entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and work readiness for youth. JA of Canada (JACAN), established in 1955, has 14 charters operating nationwide. Charters deliver programs to schools and students in cooperation with JA-trained volunteers, corporate funders, and educators. JA PEI delivers 7000 student learning experiences to Island students each year. The purpose of our programs is to provide youth with the tools and skills needed to be self-sufficient while building self-confidence.

The Program Facilitator position is primarily responsible for ensuring that the program delivery and student learning experience goals for our organization are fulfilled for the 2026/27 school year. The candidate selected for this position will deliver JA programs to classes across PEI in Elementary, Intermediate and High schools, as well as assist with program coordination activities, and any other administrative duties, as needed.

Duties:

  • Deliver JA programs to students in grades 3-12.
  • Assist with the planning and delivery of various events for youth.
  • Assist program staff with the coordination and training of volunteers.
  • Collect data that aids in the completion of monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports.
  • Variety of other duties as required.

Skills & Experience:

  • The successful candidate must have post-secondary education.
  • Education and experience in the fields of Business or Education would be an asset.
  • Must be comfortable working with youth of various ages (grades 3-12). Preference will be given to candidates with experience working in a classroom setting.
  • Must have excellent organization, problem-solving, and adaptability skills.
  • Must have an outgoing personality with the ability to establish and develop relationships with a wide range of individuals.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with a team to achieve results.
  • Excellent presentation and communication (written and oral) skills.

Please note the following additional criteria:

  • The successful candidate must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, to be able to visit schools across PEI.
  • The successful candidate must be EI eligible as per the funding requirements for this position.
