Anne of Green Gables Chocolates began as a traditional chocolate shoppe in 1999. Our products use traditional and time-tested Island recipes that are just as yummy today as they were back then. Anne inspires everything we do, and we strive to reflect her colourful and creative charm in our products, stores, and team members.
What’s the opportunity?
To work as a full time team member within our overnight production department
Our number one priority is the safety of our customers. We produce food and ensure customer safety. As well as a focus on customer satisfaction, we are known for the great taste and high quality of our products and we strive to maintain this reputation.
This is your opportunity to produce some amazing treats (and have fun doing it!).
Skills we’re looking for:
The ability to carefully follow the direction of your supervisor. Don’t worry, we give you all the training you need to succeed.
The ability to handle responsibilities with confidence and integrity.
Pride in our (your) product. Our retail and wholesale teammates count on us to deliver high quality products so that we can all deliver happiness to our customers. We love someone who is not afraid to stop and ask questions when they feel something is unclear.
A creative flare. Our ears are always open to new ideas for products, packaging, merchandising and more. This is not the place to hide your creative talents!
Love to smile, laugh and make friends. We spend so much time with our fellow team members we only hire folks who bring an awesome energy and vibe to our team.
Bonus Skills:
Food Production experience, particularly chocolate and confections. Any experience helps, even if you have worked further down the line as a server or in a retail food business.
Cooking or culinary experience, even if it is a genuine interest or hobby. If you can hit the ground running that’s a huge plus.
The Nitty Gritty:
You’ll report to the Day/Evening/Overnight Team Leader and ultimately the Senior Production Manager
The role may require shift work during the day, evening, or overnight. The ability to be flexible with your schedule is an absolute must.
Be prepared to stand for the duration of your shift. Shift length can be from 6 hours to 12 hours
Be able to bend and lift up to 30 lbs
Have reliable transportation to our 15 Milky Way location
Must be currently located in Prince Edward Island and have the ability to legally work in Canada
Pay begins at 20$ an hour
We are hiring for a full time overnight position
Be able to confidently work in English (reading, writing and spoken) as the common language of communication for the production team
