Job Description:

Early Childhood Educator (Level 3 Preferred)
Shining Stars Child Care is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Childhood Educator (ECE) to join our team. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about supporting children’s growth and development in a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment.

Level 3 Early Childhood Educator certification is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate programs and activities that support children’s physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.
  • Provide a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment that promotes positive learning experiences.
  • Supervise children at all times and ensure health, safety, and licensing standards are maintained.
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues through professional and respectful communication.
  • Observe and document children’s development and contribute to program planning.
  • Support children’s independence, self-help skills, and social-emotional development.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure high-quality care and education.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and ongoing training as required.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child’s progress, daily experiences, and any concerns.

Qualifications:

  • Early Childhood Educator certification (Level 3 preferred; Level 1 or Level 2 candidates may be considered).
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check.
  • Strong knowledge of child development and early learning practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing needs and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to collaborate and support fellow educators.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while also being an effective team player.
