Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Technical Director and Competitive Coach

Island Gymnastics Academy is seeking a passionate and motivated Senior Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Coach to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic, athlete-centered environment while building a meaningful long-term career in sport.

Position Overview
- The Senior Women’s Artistic Coach will lead and support athlete development within our competitive Women’s Artistic Gymnastics program. This role includes coaching responsibilities, travel to meets, mentorship of developing coaches, and opportunities to contribute to program leadership and organizational initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate training sessions
- Coach athletes at practices, camps, and competitions (some travel will be required)
- Support athlete development across technical, physical, and mental domains
- Collaborate with coaching staff to implement program goals
- Contribute to a positive, respectful training environment
- Mentor and support junior coaches
- Participate in program planning and strategic initiatives
- Take on leadership responsibilities aligned with experience and interest
Qualifications
- Experience in leadership and program management, in a WAG technical capacity (preferred)
- Experience coaching or participating in artistic gymnastics (preferred)
- NCCP certification or willingness to complete training and certification (up to level 3)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to athlete safety and positive coaching practices
- Ability to work evenings and weekends
- Background check and Safe Sport requirements (or willingness to obtain)
