About the Resort

Blackbush Beach Resort is a year-round experiential vacation and conference property on Prince Edward Island. Nestled in the windswept parabolic dunes of PEI’s North Shore community, Blackbush is the only resort that enables the curious, the adventuresome, and the seeker to experience the wildness, power and beauty of the Canadian beach, even in winter.

Responsible for delivering exceptional guest service by assisting with arrivals/departures, handling luggage, providing resort information, and supporting daily operations. As the first and last guest contact, this role ensures a welcoming, polished, and memorable experience through professionalism, attention to detail, and proactive service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly on arrival and departure; open doors and offer luggage assistance
  • Safely unload, transport, store, and deliver luggage promptly
  • Escort guests to rooms and provide orientation of amenities
  • Deliver guest items, amenities, special requests, and food orders from FiN Folk Food
  • Assist with transportation arrangements (taxis, shuttles, rentals)
  • Provide directions, local recommendations, and resort information
  • Offer personalized services (e.g., photos)
  • Ensure bell carts are clean, organized, and ready for use
  • Assist guests with bicycles, beach gear, recreational equipment, golf cart transport, and resort navigation
  • Support booking activities and locating on-site services
  • Maintain shuttle vehicles (cleanliness, fuel/charge, supplies)
  • Transport guests to resort locations, events, and nearby destinations (Dalvay, Brackley)
  • Enhance guest experience with thoughtful gestures (water, towels, ice)
  • Provide guided property tours when requested
  • Open/close Oasis facilities; monitor and report conditions to front desk
  • Maintain clean patio, prepare sauna, and restock supplies
  • Report cleaning or maintenance needs promptly
  • Clean, inspect, and prepare bicycles daily; ensure helmets and locks are available
  • Store all equipment neatly and securely
  • Maintain a clean, polished and welcoming lobby at all times
  • Keep entrances, walkways, and high touch surfaces clean
  • Pick-up litter, straighten furniture, and ensure overall tidiness
  • Collect and manage dishes or glassware left in public areas
  • Maintain a professional appearance and uniform standard
  • Coordinate with front desk, housekeeping, and other departments
  • Respond quickly and efficiently to guest requests
  • Handle guest belongings with care and confidentiality
  • Report hazards or unusual activity to management; follow safety protocols
  • Clean and store bell carts and equipment at shift end
  • Check with front desk for outstanding guest needs and ensure task completion

Professional Expectations

  • Maintain a clean, pressed uniform (name tag, posture and presentation)
  • Use guests name whenever possible
  • Demonstrate discretion, professionalism and proactive service
  • Always act as a positive ambassador of the resort

Qualifications

  • Previous customer services experience (hospitality preferred)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Friendly, courteous and approachable demeanor
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain active for extended periods o Ability to work flexible hours (mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays)
  • Knowledge of local attractions and services is an asset

  • Fast paced, guest focused environment
  • Frequent interactions with guests, staff, and vendors

Seasonal schedule:

  • Part-time during June and September
  • Full-time during July and August
