Job Description:

Position Overview

DME is seeking motivated Welder/Fabricators to join our production team. This position involves the layout, fit-up, fabrication, and assembly of stainless-steel process equipment and tanks in a fast-paced, safety-sensitive manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will have welding and fabrication experience; however, training will be provided to motivated individuals with strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn.

Reporting to the Production Team Lead, the Welder/Fabricator will work closely with production and engineering teams to ensure quality workmanship and efficient project completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret fabrication drawings and engineering specifications
  • Perform accurate layouts and measurements from drawings
  • Fit and assemble fabricated components and sheet metal parts
  • Prepare joints and perform tack welding
  • Install fittings, nozzles, and process connections
  • Purge weld stainless steel tube, pipe, and fittings
  • Operate fabrication tools and equipment safely and efficiently
  • Follow production procedures and quality requirements
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Perform welding and finishing work in confined spaces and at heights when required
  • Support other production activities as assigned

Qualifications

  • Technical diploma in welding and/or fabrication preferred
  • Red Seal certification considered an asset
  • Ability to perform basic welding functions; weld test required
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment considered an asset
  • Stainless steel fabrication experience considered an asset
