Grocery Clerk

Job Description:

MacPhee’s Market is an Independent grocery store located in Souris, PEI.  We are currently seeking a reliable and customer-focused Grocery Clerk to join our team. This position plays an important role in providing excellent customer service while helping maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked store environment.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves and rotate products
• Assist customers with locating items and carry-out service when needed
• Maintain clean and organized aisles, displays, and storage areas
• Receive and unpack merchandise deliveries
• Monitor product freshness and remove damaged or expired items
• Assist with pricing, signage, and merchandising displays
• Work as part of the team to ensure daily tasks are completed efficiently
• Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

Qualifications

• Friendly and professional attitude
• Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Able to lift up to 25 lbs and remain on your feet for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Previous retail or grocery experience is considered an asset, but willing to train the right candidate
