West Royalty Childcare is looking for an energetic and reliable Early Childhood Educator to add to our team!
Terms: Temporary, Full Time – 6 Month Contract (June 8-Nov 27) – 40 Hours per week (915 AM-515 PM)
Salary: As per Government Wage Grid
Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to;
- Planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities and experiences.
- Ensuring the health and safety of children.
- Communicating with parents and staff.
- Working effectively as a member of a team, as well as independently.
- Documenting children’s learning.
- Completing accident reports, reports for specialists and daily reports for parents.
- Developing and organizing children’s portfolios.
- Delivering parent teacher interviews.
- Maintaining professionalism.
- Keeping the classroom clean and organized.
- Sanitizing children’s toys.
Qualifications:
- Early Childhood Education Certificate or Diploma (Must be recognized by the PEI Child Care Facility Board)
- First Aid and CPR Training
- Criminal Record/Vulnerable Sector Check
- Active ECDA Membership, or willing to obtain one in the first three months of working.
Experience:
- Experience working in a child care facility with children ages 0-5 an asset.
