Red Seal Plumber – Operations Manager / Working Foreman

The Role
This is a hands-on leadership position combining the responsibilities of an Operations Manager and Working Foreman. You’ll be the driving force behind day-to-day field operations — keeping jobs on track, crews productive, and clients satisfied. This is not a desk job. You’ll be on-site, in the field, and at the center of everything we do. Office administration, payroll, and accounting are handled separately — your focus is operations and people.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Operations & Scheduling
• Plan and coordinate daily job scheduling across active work sites
• Manage workflow to ensure efficient use of labour and time
• Oversee contract execution from start to finish, ensuring work is completed on time and to code
Team Leadership
• Supervise, mentor, and direct field employees on all active projects
• Set the standard for professionalism, safety, and quality workmanship on every job site
• Foster a positive, accountable, and productive team culture
Materials & Supply Management
• Identify, order, and manage inventory of plumbing supplies and materials
• Build and maintain relationships with local suppliers and vendors
• Monitor and manage overhead related to field operations
Regulatory & Compliance
• Serve as the primary point of contact for provincial inspectors
• Ensure all work meets or exceeds PEI plumbing codes and regulatory requirements
• Maintain accurate job records and inspection documentation
Technology & Communication
• Work within Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Calendar) for scheduling, communication, and reporting
• Keep ownership informed through regular updates and clear communication.
What We’re Looking For
• Valid Red Seal Certification in Plumbing (non-negotiable)
• Proven experience in a foreman, lead hand, or supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of PEI plumbing codes and provincial inspection processes
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project specs
• Comfortable using Google Workspace tools in a professional setting
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• A natural leader who earns respect through competence and character
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation
