Student Labourers

Location: Prince of Wales Campus (2)

June 15, 2026 – August 28, 2026 (Working 37.5 hrs/wk, Monday to Friday)

Holland College is seeking highly motivated students, who are interested in joining a fast-paced dynamic organization.

Reporting to the Centre Administrator (East) the incumbents will:

  • Maintain cleanliness and appearance of college grounds by mowing grass, raking leaves, trimming shrubs, and weeding flower beds.
  • Collect and dispose of litter and debris to ensure a tidy and safe outdoor environment.
  • Perform light painting tasks, including refreshing walls, surfaces, and touch-ups as needed.
  • Move and rearrange furniture, equipment to support college operations and events.
  • Support seasonal maintenance tasks.
  • Conduct basic upkeep and general labour tasks in both indoor and outdoor settings.
  • Perform other related duties as required to support operational and maintenance needs across campus.

Qualifications

  • Dependable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and proper usage/maintenance of equipment and PPE.
  • Ability to follow instructions, work effectively and efficiently with minimum supervision as well as the ability to work in a team setting.
  • Previous experience in general labour, landscaping, or maintenance are considered assets.
  • Possess the ability to perform all physical duties of the job as required.
