Delivery Driver – Seasonal

Job Description:

Position Summary

The Delivery Driver is responsible for the accurate, timely, and professional delivery of products to COWS and affiliate companies, wholesale customers, and internal departments. This role also supports head office operations through scheduled errands and requires strong organizational skills, customer service, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Picking, verifying, and preparing daily delivery orders
• Gathering products from multiple departments and companies, including ice cream, cheese, chocolates, oysters, and retail merchandise
• Planning and adjusting delivery routes based on schedules, order volume, and product requirements
• Ensuring all deliveries are accurately invoiced, signed for, and documented
• Delivering products in a professional and courteous manner, representing the company positively at all times
• Working collaboratively with other drivers and staff to organize and stage daily deliveries
• Performing scheduled errands for head office, including banking and supply pickups
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicles
• Conducting basic vehicle checks and promptly reporting maintenance or safety concerns
• Adhering to food safety, transportation, and workplace safety standards
• Help in other departments as needed.

Schedule & Availability

• Primarily Monday through Friday with required availability for either Saturday or Sunday, depending on operational needs; five days weekly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Previous delivery or logistics experience considered an asset

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
• Capable of lifting and carrying items up to 50 lbs
• Ability to remain organized while multitasking
• Frequent walking, standing, bending, and driving
• Requires time working in the cooler and freezer (up to -35°C)
