Job Description: Education Program Coordinator โ Summer Student
The Alzheimer Society of PEI (ASPEI) is a non-profit organization committed to improving the lives of Islanders affected by Alzheimerโs disease and other dementias. Our mission is to alleviate the personal and social consequences of Alzheimerโs disease and other dementias and to promote the search for a cause and a cure.
The Society offers programs and services to support persons living with dementia, caregivers, and other family members and friends so they have the help they need today and have hope for the future. We work in collaboration with other health and community support providers to ensure quality across the system of care for all affected.
Job Summary
Education Coordination
- Provide support and assist in the coordination and delivery of education programs. Review, revise, and expand upon educational materials including presentations and handouts. Assist in the planning of the Alzheimerโs Awareness Conference.
Dementia Support Coordination
- Work with individuals and families to educate and provide information, supportive counselling, and guidance about living day to day with dementia. Support is provided by phone and in person through a case management process.
Programs & Project Support
- Assist in the delivery of programs and projects for persons affected by dementia including Caregiver Support Groups, Social Programs, and current special projects.
Resources & Support
- Lead the review and revision of client educational resources.
Data Management
- Ensure the appropriate collection and storage of data for statistical purposes across all position related program and service areas.

- Client and Donor Databases (Training provided)Job Qualifications
Post-secondary student currently attending or recently graduated from a University or College program. Background in a clinical or health science, psychology, or human services an asset.
Citizenship:
- Federal funding for these positions stipulates that the student must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent resident, and legally entitled to work in PEI.
Background Check:
- A clear criminal record check, with a vulnerable sector search is required.
Age Range:
- Canada Summer Jobs provides wage subsidies to create quality summer work experiences for young people aged 15-30 years.
Working Conditions & Salary
- Job Type – Full Time (8 Week Contract) Hours of work 37.5 hrs/wk.
- Start date โ Jun 1st 2026
- Working hours are 8:30am-4:30pm
- Location: Head Office in Charlottetown โ 166 Fitzroy St
- Compensation: $18/an hour
