JOB DESCRIPTION: ASSISTANT MARKETING COORDINATOR

Lobster PEI, formally known as “The Lobster Fishers of PEI Marketing Board”, is made up of a group of lobster fishers working together to promote and market PEI lobster. We take great pride in our products, and how we work together to manage a sustainable fishery that produces the best lobster in the world.

What you’ll do:
Reporting to the Office Manager, you will support the delivery of day-to-day marketing, communications, and event activities while helping bring our brand, visitor and customer experience to life across many channels. You’ll gain hands-on experience working with our team to execute marketing campaigns, support operations, and contribute to PEI festivals and events.
- Help organize internal and external communications through, social media content creation, and more
- Understand our existing marketing and communications strategies and help build out new strategies
- Assist with organizing and inventorying swag items
- Provide event setup and takedown
- Represent Lobster PEI at events and engage with attendees
- Manage logistics such as materials, transportation, and checklists
- Support sponsorships, sales and market research
- Support delivery of sponsorship assets like signage, ads, rack cards, articles, and social content
- Assist with writing, file organization, design work, and other day-to-day tasks as needed
About you:
- A post-secondary student who is available for work beginning in late June
- Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
- Outgoing and positive personality with ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and writing skills, and interview skills would be a plus
- Proficient in Google Office Suite (and Excel is a plus)
- You have an eye for design, experienced in photography, videography, social media applications, and Canva
