Monday to Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
Position runs June to September 2026
Responsible for overseeing the development and facilitation of daily summer activities for children and youth with intellectual and physical disabilities. Programming must incorporate diverse, educational and safe activities which should be outdoor based with available options for indoor activities weather dependent.
The Summer Activity Programmer will be responsible for having clear instructions for staff and clients to follow during activities.
- Must be able to manage other staff appropriately and delegate tasks as required.
- Programs and budget must be approved by management staff before summer begins and during summer as changes are made.
- Reporting any concerns, issues and updates to executive director and operations manager on a daily and weekly basis.
- Assisting with personal care as needed.
- Administrative duties as required.
- Must be able to take on a leadership role in order to facilitate and execute fun and enjoyable activities while including community organizations, groups or members to enhance programming.
