Job Description:

Candidate Requirements:

  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Must be available to work 8-hour shifts (including Saturdays)
  • English language proficiency (speak, read, write)
  • Must be able to physically lift 50 pounds
  • Must be physically able to sit and stand for prolonged periods. In this position, the individual must stand, stoop, bend and grasp to complete required duties and tasks.
  • Must be physically able to climb a ladder
  • Must be bondable- As this job involves cash management, a successful criminal record check is required
  • Per Health and Safety guidelines, must have access to CSA steel toe work shoes/boots
  • Must be willing to perform other duties as directed by store management/supervisors

Customer Experience Associate Job Description:

Our Customer Experience Associates deliver a positive experience for donors and customers alike. Working in tandem with the rest of the ReStore staff, they provide excellent customer service and prompt, accurate handling of the donation and sales processes.

Responsibilities: Sales Floor

  • Provide excellent customer service & positively engage with all customers
  • Maintain a neat, organized checkout/cash area
  • Greet all customers as they enter the doors, and maintain a warm, inviting demeanor
  • Accurately enter product data into the POS (point of sales) system
  • Accurately account for cash, debit, and credit sales transactions in the POS system
  • Answer incoming telephone calls from customers and schedule donation pick-ups
  • Mark SOLD on products that have been sold and are awaiting pick up
  • Answer all inquiries from customers in a timely manner
  • Embrace all health and safety practices for a safe work environment
  • Notify store management/supervisor of any health and safety risks, or other issues

Responsibilities: Merchandising

  • Ensure all documentation is completed properly
  • Complete tasks as directed and maintain an efficient flow of merchandise from receiving to sales floor
  • Merchandise and maintain designated areas

Responsibilities: Loss Prevention

  • Ensure loss prevention practices are followed
  • Follow all cash handling policies an procedures to control the cash
  • Maintain proper security of cash and merchandise

General Responsibilities:

  • Display competence in receiving donations, refusing donations, and backroom/receiving areas operations – cleaning, testing, pricing product as required
  • Present proper image to the public by adhering to the uniform policy and dress code guidelines (clean appearance, approved uniform, etc.)
  • Perform other duties as requested by store management/supervisors
