Ice Delivery Driver

Job Description:

This is a seasonal job starting as soon as possible and ending in September.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Safely and efficiently operate automatic Class 5 box truck
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure both are in good working condition
• Follow all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while on the road and at the customer drop off location.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and any incidents or accidents that occur during transportation
• Ensure delivery slips are signed by customers and appropriate copies left and returned with you back to the plant
• Notify the customer when you arrive at their location.
• Communicate effectively with shipping manager, customers, and other team members to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues that may arise
• Hiring asap, but candidate must be willing to assist with some in plant food processing activities until mid June.

Qualifications:

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license for minimum of 3 years with no at fault accidents
• Must submit drivers abstract
• Will assist in the delivery of ice to customers
• Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Must be able to work flexible daytime shifts on weekdays and on weekends
• Must be dependable and reliable

Job Type: Full-time 35-48 hours per week

Experience – 3 years of Class 5 driving experience and a clean drivers abstract.

Wage – negotiable based on experience
