*You must have a vehicle, it is a 1.5 hour drive from Charlottetown each way. (please google the work location – 85 Munns Road, Kingsboro, PE to find out your total daily km’s.)
*You must have a “Provincial Biting Fly CLASS B Certification”, and if you meet the requirements for the job, the Class B may be written within the first two weeks of work.
Seasonal Full-time, 40 hours per week
Wages: 26.00/hr + 4% vac pay, starting April 20, 2026 or later
The Class B Field Tech will apply & monitor treatments for black fly and mosquitoes, within the municipal boundaries in multiple locations. Municipal office is at the EK Community Centre.
The Class B Field Tech will report directly to the supervisor of the municipality and will support and execute the daily work plan which will include but is not limited to the following details:
- Adhering to the priority treatment sites/locations and following monitoring schedules
- Collect GPS data points in the decimal format for all sites
- Track inventories of biological larvicide and municipal equipment
- Opportunity to train on thermal drone – mapping, gps and pictures
- Collate and collect data and information for reports, keeping meticulous records in paper & digital
- Fill out all necessary paperwork, time sheets, and organize daily stats
- Must be comfortable working on a computer and have skills in Microsoft software programs
- Work is in the field and also in the office
