Cemetery Services Worker / Labourer

Job Description:

Power’s Monuments is seeking a responsible individual to work as part of a team to perform various tasks related to monument installation and cemetery services/maintenance.

Duties include, but are not limited to

• Installing monument foundations (measuring, digging, operating a tamper and leveling gravel).
• Loading and unloading granite monuments, using equipment and tools as necessary.
• Cleaning (pressure washing) and repairing cemetery monuments.
• Operating various motorized equipment.  (Ability to operate mini excavator would be an asset).
• Assist in digging/filling in graves. (dumping, spreading, and seeding soil)
• Perform general site cleanup and debris removal
• Support team members in maintaining safety standards across all tasks
• Perform routine inspections of equipment and tools to ensure proper functioning
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physical labor including lifting, digging, and standing for extended periods
• Strong work ethic with attention to detail and safety protocols
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various weather conditions
• Prior experience in landscaping or outdoor maintenance is desirable but not mandatory

Starting wage is flexible based on experience and can advance quickly based on merit. 

We are ideally (but not exclusively) looking for someone who is interested in returning seasonally (April – Dec) each year and taking advantage of growth opportunities within the company.

A valid drivers license is an asset.  Steel toed work boots and rain gear is required.  All other safety equipment will be provided.  Heavy lifting and manual labour capabilities are required.
