Seasonal Maintenance Worker (Contract) – Red Sands Vacations
Location: Prince Edward Island – North Shore
Term: May 15 – September 15, 2026
Compensation: $25/hour
Hours: 40–48 hours per week

Red Sands Vacations is seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Worker to support our portfolio of high-end vacation rental properties across the North Shore of PEI. This is a seasonal contract role with strong potential to transition into full-time employment for the right candidates.

Candidates should ideally reside within or near the service area.

Role Overview
This role is hands-on and fast-paced, focused on maintaining high-end vacation homes to a high standard. Work will often take place in occupied properties, so professionalism, attention to detail, and strong communication skills are critical.

You will report directly to the Foreman of Maintenance and work closely with our operations team to ensure all properties are maintained to Red Sands Vacations standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to maintenance requests and service calls in a timely manner
• Perform general carpentry and maintenance tasks across multiple properties
• Complete repairs including drywall, trim, doors, hardware, fixtures, and basic systems
• Conduct routine inspections of properties and identify maintenance needs
• Support unit turnovers with touch-ups, repairs, and finishing work
• Assist with small renovation and improvement projects
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of job sites and equipment
• Communicate updates clearly with the maintenance team and management
• Track work completed and hours using company systems

Availability Requirements

• Evening and weekend work will be required
• Must be available for on-call shifts to respond to urgent maintenance needs

Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in maintenance, carpentry, or a related field
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• Comfortable working in high-end, guest-occupied homes
• Professional, respectful, and guest-focused demeanor
• Valid driver’s license required
• Own tools are considered an asset
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check

Vehicle Requirements

• Mileage will be reimbursed for candidates using their own vehicle
• A company vehicle may be provided or negotiated for the right candidate

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Comfortable working on ladders and in varying weather conditions
• Capable of handling physically demanding work

This is a contract position with an hourly rate of $25/hour. Candidates who perform well will be considered for full-time, year-round opportunities within Red Sands Group.
