Job Summary
We are looking for a service-oriented IT/Telecom Project Coordinator to support remote client users and environments while striving to achieve and surpass our service level commitments. Daily responsibilities will include coordinating a variety of project tasks within the IT/telecom space, including new circuits, cross connects, traditional phone services, advanced cloud voice projects, network location moves, SD-WAN deployments, modifications and cancellations. Work will be conducted from our Prince Edward Island Service Desk (downtown Charlottetown/Summerside office locations available). Project Coordinators must be both proactive and responsive, excelling at internal and customer-facing communications. Responsibilities
- Provide project coordination for client IT/Telecom projects:
- Manage end-to-end delivery of services, ensuring time-sensitive deadlines are met
- Communicate task/workflow statuses to management, partners and customers, setting accurate expectations
- Collaborate with vendors to coordinate deliverables, schedule tests, manage troubleshooting and validate billing details
- Maintain accurate records in internal database systems related to services, systems and vendors/suppliers
- Contribute to vendor/supplier service reviews and act as a level 1 escalation contact for delayed or missed deliverables
- Resolving customer issues escalated for management attention and communicating resolutions directly to customers/partners
- Create and maintain project work schedules, tracking customer/partner requirements and translating requests into deliverables
- Oversee day-to-day project tasks from the close of the sale through hand-off to Customer Support
- Demonstrate proficiency in service delivery by managing multiple concurrent projects
- Coordinate cross-functional interactions to support project implementations
- Prioritize requirements, manage resources effectively and maintain a customer/partner focused approach
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of IT/Telecom products and service offerings
- Working closely with senior team members to ensure best practices and proactive planning for client environments, balanced with timely responsiveness to mission-critical emergencies
- Maintain client project documentation and enter daily time records
- Monday-Friday; 8hrs+break; standard work shift: 8:45AM-5:15PM
- occasional after-hours work as required
Requirements
- Good communication, organizational and time-management skills
- Strong client service skills, confidence and good judgement
- Strong troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced team environment
- Working knowledge of spreadsheets, ticket systems (CRM) and project management tools
- Strong proficiency in English โ both spoken and written
- High School Diploma and at least one of the following:
- Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration or equivalent
- PMP certification
- IT/Telecom project management experience in a professional environment
- All Starport candidates/employees must pass a security background check (to be refreshed annually)

Job Location: 135 Kent Street, Charlottetown or 250 Water Street, Summerside, Prince Edward Island
Recommended Experience: 2+ years of professional customer service and/or project management in IT/Telecom industry
Compensation: Hourly wage from $18.50/hr to $21.50/hr + health benefits plan
