The Early Childhood Educator (ECE) is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment that supports the developmental, emotional, and physical needs of young children. The ECE plans and implements age-appropriate activities in accordance with provincial regulations and centre policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive care and supervision to children at all times
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate programs and activities
- Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment
- Communicate professionally with families and team members
- Follow all licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and centre policies
Qualifications:
- Valid Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Certification recognized in Prince Edward Island (required)
- Clear criminal record and vulnerable sector check
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
