Career Opportunity – Accountant

MRSB’s Accounting and Assurance Division is seeking an experienced Accountant to join our Summerside office. This full-time, permanent role is ideal for a CPA professional with public accounting experience who is looking to grow their career in a collaborative and supportive firm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage client files and deliver high-quality audit and assurance services
  • Perform audit procedures for clients with complex and specialized requirements
  • Analyze financial data to identify key performance drivers and business trends
  • Ensure compliance with firm quality control standards
  • Mentor and support junior accounting staff
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Identify opportunities for new business and client growth

Qualifications & Experience

  • CPA designation required
  • 3–5 years of public accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian GAAS, ASPE, ASNPO, PSAB, and IFRS
  • Experience with CaseWare Working Papers, TaxPrep, Sage 50, and QuickBooks Online
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to travel locally as required
