We are hiring a Part-Time Accounting Manager with solid experience in personal and corporate tax, capable of reviewing work and ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and manage personal income tax returns
- Review and manage corporate income tax returns
- Oversee bookkeeping and ensure accuracy and completeness
- Review work prepared by junior staff (quality control)
- Ensure compliance with Canadian tax regulations
- Provide guidance on accounting and tax-related matters as needed
Requirements:
- Proven experience in accounting and tax (Canada)
- Strong knowledge of personal and corporate tax
- Able to review, identify issues, and correct errors
- Detail-oriented, responsible, and professional
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience in a public accounting firm is a strong asset
- CPA designation or CPA candidate preferred
