Job Description:

Best Start Worker Queens – Term 3 Months
3-Month Term Position – 37.5 hours per week

CHANCES is a non-profit, community-based, charitable organization which exists to actively contribute to the well-being of children ages 0-11 years.  We are seeking a dynamic individual to provide family centered and strength based in-home visiting support to families who are participants in the Best Start Program.

The successful individual will be expected to utilize a strength-based approach that supports participants and respects the organizational culture, while advancing the overall mission and goals of CHANCES.

Qualifications/Experience:

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • A two-year post-secondary diploma or certificate (or equivalent)
  • Experience delivering high quality programs for children and their families
  • A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Availability to work evenings as required

Demonstrated skills / abilities to:

  • Engage with and build strong supportive relationships with families;
  • Effective time management, organizational and communication skills;
  • Personal attributes that include a positive, flexible, and self-motivated approach to work.

Salary: $25.46 an hour, 75 hours biweekly
