West Royalty Childcare Centre is looking for an energetic and reliable Early Childhood Educator to join our team!
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Planning and implementing developmentally activities and experiences
- Ensuring the health and safety of children
- Communicating with parent and staff
- Working effectively as a member of the team, as well as independently
- Documenting children’s learning
- Completing accident reports, reports for specialists and daily reports for parents
- Developing and organizing children’s portfolios
- Delivering parent teacher interviews
- Maintaining professionalism
- Keeping the classroom clean and organized
- Sanitizing children’s toys
Qualifications:
- Early Childhood Education Certificate or Diploma (Must be recognized by the PEI Child Care Facility Board)
- Criminal Record/Vulnerable Sector Check
- First Aid and CPR Training
- Active ECDA Membership, or willing to obtain one within the first three months of working
