Key Responsibilities:
- Assist educators in implementing daily routines, play-based learning activities, and curriculum plans.
- Supervise and engage with children during indoor and outdoor activities.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
- Support children with self-help skills such as eating, dressing, and toileting.
- Encourage positive social interactions, problem-solving, and inclusion.
- Build respectful and supportive relationships with children, families, and team members.
- Follow center policies, licensing regulations, and health & safety procedures.
Qualifications:
- Early Childhood Assistant certification (an asset but not always required).
- Experience working with young children in a childcare, daycare, or school setting.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of child development and play-based learning.
- Current First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Clear Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check.
