Part Time Inclusion Support
The Inclusion Support Worker provides one-on-one support to a child enrolled in the Pre-K program, ensuring they can fully participate in the daily routines, activities, and learning experiences. This role focuses on fostering the child’s development, promoting inclusion, and supporting the classroom team in creating a positive, safe, and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work one-on-one with the assigned child to support their individual learning, social, emotional, and physical needs.
- Encourage participation in classroom activities, adapting materials and strategies as needed to promote inclusion.
- Implement individualized strategies or goals in collaboration with the classroom teacher, supervisor, and/or specialists (e.g., speech therapists, occupational therapists).
- Provide assistance with transitions, routines, and self-regulation strategies.
- Support the development of positive peer interactions and social skills.
- Observe and record progress, challenges, and successes to share with the classroom team and supervisor.
- Work collaboratively with educators, families, and other professionals to ensure consistent support strategies.
- Maintain confidentiality and follow all policies and procedures of the program.
