Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with the supervision and safety of children at all times
- Support educators in planning and implementing daily activities
- Help set up and clean learning and play areas
- Encourage children’s participation in play-based learning
- Assist with snack and meal times, diapering, toileting, and hygiene routines
- Observe and document children’s behavior and development
- Communicate positively and professionally with children, families, and staff
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment
- Follow all daycare policies, procedures, and licensing regulations
Qualifications:
- Secondary school student (ECE preferred)
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Clear criminal record and vulnerable sector check
- Experience working with young children (volunteer or paid) preferred
- Ability to lift, bend, and participate in active play
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Genuine passion for early childhood education
