Duties and Responsibilities:
- Be a team player with positive attitude.
- Be comfortable to work with children of all ages.
- Offer a play-based emergent curriculum.
- Observe, record, and document children’s work and progress.
- Foster social interactions and child development.
- Build relationships with children, parents, and co-workers.
- Plan and organize activities for children that support and promote their physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
- Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs.
- Provide opportunities for children to express creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity.
- Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well being of children.
Requirements:
- Be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Perform and share in cleaning tasks.
- Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Level 3; ECA and ECI considered if willing to upgrade
- First Aid/CPR, Food Safety, Satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Check
- 1 or more years experience considered an asset.
Wage based on EYC wage grid based on experience and credentials.
