MDS Coating is currently seeking a Director of Finance and Administration.
The Opportunity
The Director of Finance and Administration plays a pivotal role in MDS’ success story, contributing to their industry-leading accomplishments and shaping the future. They develop and implement financial strategies, manage budgeting and forecasting, and provide data-driven insights to optimize performance. They oversee financial operations, ensuring compliance, risk management, and internal controls while driving continuous improvement. Treasury management responsibilities include cash flow optimization, banking relationships, and currency risk mitigation. The role also ensures adherence to financial regulations and risk management frameworks. Additionally, they oversee administrative operations, including procurement, contract management, and facilities, driving efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Who You Are
As an ideal candidate, you have strong financial analysis and modeling skills and are able to translate complex data into clear insights. You have deep knowledge of accounting principles, GAAP, and financial regulations, along with a proven ability to drive continuous improvement. With excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, you can inspire teams and navigate fast-paced environments with integrity and professionalism. You bring senior finance leadership experience with expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning. Experience in multi-jurisdictional environments and foreign currency hedging strategies is an asset.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) certification is required.
