EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY – CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
MRSB is actively recruiting on behalf of a client seeking the services of a full-time Chief Financial Officer, CFO. This position would be primarily based in Charlottetown and reports directly to the COO.
Responsibilities include:
Applicants must be capable of performing a variety of duties such as:
- Strategic planning and preparation of budgets
- Maintaining a computerized accounting system
- Preparation of monthly and year-end financial reports
- Ensuring compliance with all accounting and tax regulations,
- Working closely with human resources
- Liaise with management, bank representatives and other third-party providers
- Coordination and preparation for annual audit and tax filings
- Preparation of monthly HST remittances
- Providing payroll information for employees, submission of monthly RRSP and other employee benefits
Requirements:
- CPA with 3-5 years experience in a Professional Firm
- Proficiency with various accounting spreadsheets and software programs
- Exceptional analytical, time-management, and organizational skills
- Ability to establish and sustain effective relationships at all levels of the firm as well as external contacts, governing bodies and clients
- A strong ability to resolve complex issues in a timely manner
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and handle sensitive and confidential information
Compensation range: $95,000-$115,000 annually, plus benefits. The selected candidate will require a background check and must be bondable.
