Casual Early Childhood Educator
Hope Early Learning Centre, which opens in Cornwall, Prince Edward Island, is seeking enthusiastic and qualified Early Childhood Educators (ECEs) to join its growing team! We offer opportunities for ECEs and provide a pathway for professional growth and development. A casual list of ECE is created for the preparation of our future ECE candidates.
- A genuine passion for working with young children and fostering their development.
- Strong understanding of child development theories and best practices in early childhood education.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment through play-based activities.
- Commitment to building strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Fluency in English and familiarity with French is a bonus.
- Emergency child care first aid, CPR, criminal check/vulnerable sector check are required.
Responsibilities:
- Flexibility to be on call for the center
- Provide nurturing care and support to meet each child’s individual needs.·
- Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating learning environment.
- Support other ECEs to implement and supervise age-appropriate activities and learning experiences.
- Have operational knowledge of the Early Learning and Child Care Act and Regulations
- Foster social-emotional and cognitive development, including communication skills, empathy, and self-confidence.
