Who You Are
Reporting to the Director of Outreach and Communications, the Digital Marketing and Communications Specialist provides administrative and technical support for all marketing and communications of the Professional Security Knowledge Network (PSKN). Working collaboratively and under the guidance of the PSKN Business Development Manager, you assist in building awareness and sharing information about PSKN through communications channels and strategic campaigns.

As an emerging digital marketer, you possess a passion for driving growth for PSKN through digital marketing strategies, enhancing campaign performance, improving PSKN’s Search Engine Optimization (SEO), conducting market research, and uncovering valuable market insights.

This position assists the PSKN Business Development Manager with projects, developing internal process and procedure, and reviewing and making recommendations for PSKN support inquiries and issues.
Though they will be primarily responsible for PSKN, this position will be cross trained and knowledgeable about CPKN and eProctor and support with communications activities when available or requested.

The Digital Marketing and Communications Specialist will:

Communications

  • Work collaboratively with the PSKN Business Development Manager to undertake strategic outreach, marketing, and communication opportunities to advance the goals of PSKN
  • Write and edit a wide variety of communications materials.
  • Distribute information to various internal and external audiences.
  • Develop, manage, and monitor PSKN social media platforms.
  • Maintain and update the PSKN website.
  • Assist PSKN Business Development Manager with communications and administrative support on quotes, presentations, and promotional materials.
  • Assist with project management or events as required.

Digital Marketing and Sales

  • Devise and implement SEO strategies for PSKN
  • Use Google Analytics, Google AdWords, and other relevant digital marketing tools.
  • Devise new ways of driving traffic to the PSKN website and regularly maintain and update the user journey on the website as required.
  • Assist with sales requests as required.
  • Proactively generate new sales opportunities through social media, digital ads, emails, and websites.
  • Assist PSKN Business Development Manager with individual sales.
  • Nurture and develop mutually beneficial relationships for PSKN.
  • Enhancing user experience.

Research and analysis

• Organizing and maintain various tracking and monitoring systems.
• Create reports as directed.
• Conduct customer and client research.
• Conduct market analysis for specific course offerings across the Country
• Report and analyze performance metrics on all digital platforms and assess against goals.

Qualifications

• University degree / diploma with a focus in communications, public relations, business, or the equivalent.
• At least two years working in a communications role is preferred.
• At least two years working in a sales or business-related role.
• Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, and customer service skills required.
• Proficient in digital marketing tools and platforms.
• Understanding and experience with SEO tactics.
• Demonstrated knowledge of web programs, social media networks, and social media management systems.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Aptitude for fostering positive relationships and a customer-oriented mindset.
• Experience working in a team-driven and collaborative environment.

This position offers an annual salary between $50,000 – $75,000 and a benefits package.
