Qualification:
· Hold a valid Certification as an Early Childhood Director/Supervisor and a minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory role within a daycare setting.
· Possess a strong understanding of child development theories and best practices in early childhood education.
· Demonstrate exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and support staff and communicate externally.
· Experience in curriculum development, budgeting, and program administration is a valuable asset.
· A passion for fostering a positive and collaborative work environment is essential.
· Must be fluent in English and familiarity with French is a bonus.
· Emergency child care first aid, CPR, criminal check/vulnerable sector check are required.
Responsibilities:
· Develop and implement strategic plans and annual events.
· Oversee the day-to-day operations of the daycare centre, ensuring compliance with all regulations and licensing requirements.
· Develop and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with the PEI Early Learning Framework.
· Recruit, hire, develop, and manage qualified early childhood educators and support staff.
· Foster positive relationships with families and keep them informed of their child’s progress.
· Prepare and manage budgets, ensuring the efficient use of resources.
· Maintain accurate records and complete all necessary reports.
