Job Description:

The role of the Accounts Receivable Officer is to provide administrative and financial support to the organization in it’s entirety including all programs and staff under the direction of the CFAO.  This position will be responsible for the Accounts Receivable department, working collaboratively with others in the department.

This role will support the organization in the day-to-day operational functions, administrative and financial duties as needed, specifically:

  • Accounts Receivable:
    • invoicing,
    • posting and balancing subsidy payments,
    • entering billing into client accounts,
    • posting payments to client accounts
  • Maintaining the billing system
  • Generating invoices and account statements
  • Performing account reconciliations
  • Maintaining accounts receivable files and records
  • Investigating and resolving any irregularities or inquiries
  • Following and helping to administer the organizations guidelines and policies
  • Assisting with the preparation of the yearly audit
  • Preparing yearly tax receipts
  • Contacting families concerning their billings when required
  • Contributing to a healthy work environment by utilizing a positive, strength based team approach that respects and supports the organizational culture
  • All other duties as required.

Experience in Accounts Receivable management is a must, along with above-average knowledge of Simply Accounting. A high level of organization and attention to detail is crucial to this role.
