Job Description:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Holland College is seeking an innovative, entrepreneurial, and dynamic individual to provide leadership and consultation for the Integrated Technology Services (ITS) department. Reporting to the Vice President of Corporate Services, Strategic Development and Stakeholder Relations, your responsibilities include:

    -Selection, procurement, implementation and overall operations of the Enterprise and Client Technology infrastructure at all Holland College locations including:

    -Servers, storage, backups
    -Network (LAN/WAN), Wireless, Cybersecurity
    -Cloud infrastructure (Microsoft 365, Azure)
    -Audio Visual infrastructure
    -Client devices (desktops, laptops, etc.)
    -Leading the IT Support, Audio Visual, Web Development and Systems Support teams.
    -Developing and managing operating and capital budgets for:
    -IT Support, Audio Visual, Web Development and Systems Support teams.
    -Computer Evergreening
    -Technology infrastructure project
    -Providing leadership and vision to ensure the technical direction, strategy and policies are aligned to support the strategic direction of the College.

    -Negotiating technology hardware, software, and services agreements for the College.

    -Providing technology advice and leadership to internal Holland College stakeholders and committees.

    -Representing Holland College on regional and national committees.

    -Establishing and maintaining strategic relationships with technology vendors, other post-secondary institutions, and government.

    -Other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Post secondary credential in information systems/engineering technology plus a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with the administration of a heterogeneous enterprise environment and a solid understanding of cloud platforms including Microsoft 365, Azure and Sharepoint.
  • Experience with WAN administration and a solid understanding of next-gen firewalls, routing, switching, and Wi-Fi – preferably Fortinet.
  • Demonstrated understanding of software as a service and enterprise application integration issues, including authentication, data warehousing and reporting.
  • Understanding of Cybersecurity risks and strategies in an enterprise environment.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven leadership skills along with a forward-thinking track record
  • Strong time management, project management and fiscal management skills.
