11-Month Term Position
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the PEIWIP team and Customized Training in administration and logistics coordination related to the development and delivery of new and existing programs (including contracts, marketing, registration, planning, delivery, evaluation, follow-up), stakeholder engagement activities and events.
- Provide project support by organizing room rentals, room setup, materials and supplies, instructor/participant IT access and catering for training and other stakeholder activities and events.
- Respond to inquiries and act as a resource person with clients, staff, service providers and the public.
- Create and respond to correspondence, prepare, and type letters, memos, minutes, reports.
- Support PEIWIP marketing approaches (web-based and other) using relevant software applications.
- Develop and maintain a database of PEI contacts in industry, government, community, and post-secondary sectors relevant to the work and activities of PEIWIP and support the development of stakeholder relationships.
- Other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Post-secondary education in Business or office administration with a minimum of one-year recent related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Superior communications skills verbally, electronically and in writing with the ability to adapt style to a variety of purposes and audiences.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to work accurately with figures and detailed records.
- A strong commitment to excellence in customer service.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Some knowledge of contract development and budget preparation is considered an asset.
- Must have valid driver’s license and have access to a vehicle.
- Some evening and/or weekend work may be required.
