One year term position
Holland College is seeking a highly skilled and service-oriented individual to provide administrative and financial support for the Canadian Colleges for a Resilient Recovery (C2R2) project. The Project Assistant will work directly with Project Manager, Finance Officer, and other team members to coordinate and support all aspects of the project. The successful candidate will:
- Provide administrative support and assist in coordinating activities related to the C2R2 project.
- Support the development of funding proposals and the preparation of reports, briefings notes, presentations, meeting minutes and other documentation.
- Serve as an initial point of contact between C2R2 Coordinating Secretariat, industry partners, equity deserving organizations and other community partners and connect each inquiry to the appropriate project staff person.
- Develop a system to maintain and collect project data and ensure that it is timely, relevant, and accurate for internal and external reporting purposes.
- Ensure external projects for C2R2 and other stakeholders are tracked and provide claims on a monthly/as needed basis.
- Liaison with Finance Officer for maintaining master tracking spreadsheet on all C2R2 related expenses, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
- Assist in preparation of monthly/quarterly reports.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Business or office administration with a minimum of two-years recent related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Superior communications skills verbally, electronically and in writing with the ability to adapt style to a variety of purposes and audiences.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to work accurately with figures and detailed records.
- A strong commitment to excellence in customer service.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Some knowledge of contract administration and budget preparation is preferred.
