Job Description:

One Year term position commencing ASAP

As a member of the Holland College Customized Training Team, you will provide support to the Manager of Customized Training to assist in fostering the growth and development of customized training opportunities for the College.

  • Provide administrative support to activities related to customized training.
  • Respond to inquiries and act as a resource person with clients, staff, service providers and the public.
  • Input revenue and expenditures in budget tracking and monitor.
  • Plan, design and execute content for Facebook and Twitter accounts to market department services.
  • Create and respond to correspondence, prepare, and type letters, memos, minutes, reports
  • Provide project support by organizing room rentals, room setup, materials and supplies, instructor/participant IT access and catering for training events.
  • Draft, manage and execute training contracts.
  • Provide administrative assistance to support staff and students on all Canadian Colleges for a Resilient Recovery (C2R2) funded projects.
  • Register and exit students, input final grades, and receipt payments using the College’s student information system (Datatel).
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Business or office administration with a minimum of two-years recent related experience.  An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Superior communications skills verbally, electronically and in writing with the ability to adapt style to a variety of purposes and audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work accurately with figures and detailed records.
  • A strong commitment to excellence in customer service.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Some knowledge of contract development and budget preparation is preferred.
  • Must have valid driver’s license and have access to a vehicle.
  • Some evening and/or weekend work may be required.
