Daycare Supervisor

Job Description:

Yuill Learn and Grow Childcare Centre- Will provide high quality childcare services in a warm, supportive, and safe environment for children as well as for families looking for socialization opportunities for their children. We will provide a variety of learning experiences both indoors and outdoors to enhance the child’s social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development.

We are looking to hire a qualified daycare Supervisor to manage our day-to-day operations and establish and sustain a positive learning environment for children.

The successful applicant will have demonstrable experience in managing all aspects of a daycare center, as well as strong leadership skills. You should display a friendly demeanor, have a love for children, and strive to create a supportive and encouraging environment for both children and educators.

Job Details

Salary:  $18.00 – $25.00 per hour
Job Type: Full time / Permanent
Shift & Schedule:  Monday to Friday, no weekends

Responsibilities:

Ensure a safe, happy, and stimulating environment for children, staff, and parents.
Manage and coordinate curricula with staff that complies with provincial requirements.
Oversee staff and ensure appropriate ratios of staff per children is maintained.
Ensure that center facilities are safe for children and comply with laws and regulations.
Evaluate and help with the purchase materials, equipment, and supplies.
Manage and support staffs and promote their professional development.
Interview, hire, and train new staff members, ensuring they meet all policies and legal requirements.
Complete ongoing training and courses to remain up to date on daycare standards and procedures.
Communicate and meet with parents regarding their children and the center’s policies.
Develop and facilitate a marketing and communications plan.

License/Certification:

Early Childhood Educator Supervisor Certificate through the Department of Education and Lifelong Learning (required)
Requirements:
CPR and First aid certificates.
Food Safety course-certificate.
Current Criminal Record Check with vulnerable sector.
