Chiropractor – Locum

Job Description:

The FIX is a three-year-old thriving, multidisciplinary clinic and boutique training facility in Summerside, Prince Edward Island (PEI).  The FIX provides chiropractic care, medical acupuncture, rehabilitation, and massage therapy to the Summerside and surrounding regions of PEI.  The interdisciplinary health care team at The FIX provides patient-centred, hands-on, evidence-informed treatment through the highest quality, most thorough upstream approach to wellness.

We are looking for a skilled and passionate Doctor of Chiropractic locum who is eager to be part of a strong healthcare team and who is looking to enhance their lifestyle in a safe, friendly, active, and welcoming community.  The locum position is full-time for six months, from March 1, 2023, to August 31, 2023, with the possibility of an extension.

As a locum, you will take over a thriving, established practice.  We are also experiencing a significant increase in demand from new patients (i.e., 12/week) and cannot currently meet the demand.  Your schedule will be filled each day with a balance of new and current patients.  Reception staff manage the assignment, direction, and flow of patients to and from the five private treatment rooms and bright, spacious, fully equipped training and rehabilitation area.

As a chiropractor at The FIX, you are proficient in your practice, have a growth mindset, and are unyielding in striving to provide the best care and service to your patients.  You have a curious mind and a fascination with the human body and movement.  You have a keen interest in rehabilitation, mobility and strength training, and your actions and lifestyle reflect your belief that movement is medicine.  You employ a full range of techniques in your patients’ treatment plans, such as Medical Acupuncture, Active Release Technique, spinal and extremity manipulation, kinesiotaping, Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization, rehabilitation and strength training, and/or other evidence-based techniques. You view the body as an integrated functional unit and know how to get to the root of your patients’ issue(s) to ensure long-lasting and rapid results.  You cooperate with other branches of medical science referring patients to other practitioners for diagnosis or treatment when appropriate.  You collaborate with your colleagues at The FIX to provide patients with a truly integrative form of health care.  If this sounds like you, we would love to invite you to join our dynamic team at our cheerful, upbeat, welcoming facility.
