MRSB Chartered Professional Accountants and MRSB Consulting Services are looking for an energetic, driven and bright individual to join our team as a Financial Consultant and Analyst. The position would be a shared resource between the two firms.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
MRSB Chartered Professional Accountants regularly conduct business valuations to determine the economic value of a business. As a financial analyst you will assist our Chartered Business Valuator (CBV) in preparing valuation packages. This will include work on a variety of assignments including gathering pertinent data, designing and working with financial models for discounted cash flow, market and transaction approach analysis, and assisting in the preparation and presentation of the analysis in a clear concise matter.
MRSB Consulting Services provides services to public and private sector entities, with a focus on strategic initiatives, business plans and financing strategies. Many of our engagements include the preparation of financial projections with accounting policies, detailed assumptions, and a review and sign off from MRSB Chartered Professional Accountants. These financial projections are prepared to assist clients in obtaining funding and financing for their business initiatives or to support refinancing proposals.
Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will have completed an Accounting Technician Diploma or University Degree with focus on Accounting or Finance.
· Strong analytical skills;
· Fluent in Microsoft Office applications including, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
· Good financial literacy
· Able to read, understand, and analyze financial statements
· Can recognize abnormalities in financial statement comparisons
· Understand key financial ratios;
· Experience preparing financial forecasts and projections;
· Knowledge of basic corporate and personal income tax concepts;
· Ability to work proactively on behalf of clients in dealing with lending institutions, government entities and potential industry partners;
· Excellent time management and organizational skills including the ability to manage competing priorities and to plan and execute work to meet required client deadlines;
· Ability to manage multiple projects with a positive attitude; and willingness to learn and take direction;
· Solid interpersonal and communication skills with ability to build rapport with colleagues and clients;
· Ability to work without supervision and as part of a team;
· Dedication, persistence, flexibility, and a willingness to go the extra mile
