The Canadian Police Knowledge Network (CPKN) is a national not for profit with a mission to support the development of police professionals through innovative learning solutions that meet the evolving needs of Canadian and First Nations policing.
CPKN is a network of police services, training academies, sector associations, and other related organizations that works to strengthen and support the police community by leveraging collective knowledge, experience, and best practices. CPKN is the hub for collaboration, creating innovative learning and professional development solutions in the Canadian police sector. This Network is supported by 35 full-time employees based in Charlottetown, PEI.
CPKN is currently seeking an Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer.
Accountable to President of CPKN, the Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer (ED & COO) supports the President and the Board in the planning, implementation and evaluation of all programs, products and services provided by CPKN and ensures that CPKN continues to innovate, evolve, and deliver high value to the Canadian Police Community across Canada. As a trusted and engaged leader, the ED nurtures strong relationships with the CPKN staff, external stakeholders, and partners. With a focus on sound business practices and fundamentals, the ED & COO ensures growth of the organization, while creating an environment for success for its employees.
As an ideal candidate for this role, you are a strategic thinker and change agent who is creative, and solutions-oriented and possess the ability to translate our vision into common language in such a way that those following can relate to it. You bring a high degree of cultural competence, ensuring equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) are front of mind in decision making and product development. Seasoned, credible and highly respected for your vision, integrity, high client service, and outcomes orientation, you are an excellent communicator and relationship builder who exhibits trust and confidence at all levels. Previous leadership (ED, COO, CEO, etc.) experience in a service-related organization is preferred.
