The Canadian Police Knowledge Network (CPKN) is one of Canada’s most experienced providers of technology-enhanced learning products and services. Specializing in building national learning models, we work across multiple sectors including police and security.
The CPKN team is seeking a Human Resources Administrator. This position will provide leadership and support for a wide variety of human resource functions including recruitment and retention, employee engagement, on-boarding, training, employee relations, performance management, and a variety of HR administrative tasks. The Human Resources Administrator advises directors, managers and employees on HR practices including policies and procedures and other related legal and regulatory subjects. This position is based on Prince Edward Island and works 37.50 hours per week, commencing immediately.
What We’re Looking For:
The ideal candidate will have experience in HR recruitment, talent management and HR administration. They will have the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines, and act with tact, good judgment and discretion. The HR Administrator will have the ability to maintain the confidentiality of files, personal information and other matters as required. A degree/diploma in Human Resource Management or Business Administration are preferred, however an equivalent combination of education and work experience could be considered.
What You’ll Do:
The Human Resources Administrator will be responsible for:
· Full cycle recruitment: manage the end-to-end recruitment process for identified positions.
· Facilitating orientation and on-boarding with new hires.
· Ensuring employee HR files are organized, complete and up to date.
· In collaboration with the finance department coordinate employee benefits.
· Being the lead for various HR projects and initiatives, designing, documenting, communicating, and implementing processes, procedures, and programs to support the human resources needs of CPKN and the strategic initiatives of the organization.
· Coaching directors and managers on handling employee questions, assist with workplace issue resolution and requests that pertain to workplace policies and general terms and conditions of employment.
· Working with directors and managers on effective management strategies as well as HR policies and procedures to foster strong leadership and teamwork and ensure an effective workforce.
· Other responsibilities as required.
