Alumni Engagement Coordinator, College Advancement

Duties and Responsibilities
College Advancement and the Holland College Foundation is seeking an Alumni Engagement Coordinator. Reporting to the Executive Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties.
- Develop and implement a strategy to cultivate today’s students as tomorrow’s alumni.
- Develop an outreach and engagement plan to grow our community of alumni and donors.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute all alumni-related programming, events, communications, and initiatives.
- Coordinate and bolster the alumni benefits program and manage the alumni insurance and banking programs.
- Coordinate production of the alumni e-newsletter including writing and managing content, conducting interviews, generating discounts, managing distribution, and analyzing analytics.
- Develop a strategy to increase annual communication and activity with alumni and maximize opportunities through social media.
- Work with staff and board members to establish and execute an annual giving program for alumni.
- Explore and develop an evaluation process for measuring student and alumni engagement.
- Coordinate the participation of the Alumni Office in annual graduations.
- Manage alumni information housed in the department’s Raiser’s Edge database.
- Coordinate student and alumni volunteers, provide support and build relationships.
- Assist in the development and execution of departmental communications including webpage and social media content, email communication, alumni, and donor profiles, etc.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in marketing, communications, business, or public relations coupled with recent relevant experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience maybe considered.
- Strong relationship building skills and the ability to effectively engage and support faculty, students, alumni, and other volunteers.
- Superior communications skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal).
- Ability to prioritize and adapt to emerging needs; capacity, creativity, and drive to thrive in a dynamic and diverse environment.
- High proficiency in MS Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Experience or aptitude in social media management.
- Experience with databases (particularly Raiser’s Edge) would be an asset.
