GED/Credit Instructor – Scotchfort

Term Position (37.5hrs per week)

August 29, 2022 – May 5, 2023

Holland College is seeking a GED/Credit instructor for the Adult Education Program in Scotchfort. The duties and responsibilities will include the following:

  • Follow provincial curriculum guides to meet the curriculum outcomes.
  • Develop lesson plans and learning activities to engage learners in meeting the curriculum outcomes.
  • Develop, review and update learning materials in the online based learning management system (SAM).
  • Use technology effectively to maximize student learning.
  • Address student behavior and learning issues by engaging program manager, counsellor, and community agencies.
  • Use evaluation techniques to report student success to students and funding partners.
  • Maintain and adhere to ISO quality management policies and procedures.
  • Participate in professional development activities to ensure adherence to provincial curriculum guidelines and changing learner needs.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate collaborative practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Education with a specialization in adult education, senior or intermediate streams is required.
  • Bachelor of Arts or Science degree with a major, minors, or at least two courses in the GED subject areas of mathematics, English, social studies, and science.
  • PEI Teaching Certificate Level 4.
  • A combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
